Mozart’s birthplace still has a rather special flair that captivates visitors today. Calm and yet inspiring you can take a stroll through the historical old town, which has been a UNESCO World cultural heritage site since 1996. Occasionally a Mozart ball or two is used for inner and outer edification. For those who then hike up to the Burgberg in a few minutes, their treat calories are burned in a flash – alternatively you can also take the small mountain railway. Visitors are rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view from the Hohensalzburg Fortress.
Yet this is not everything that is cultural. The Salzburg Festival, the house where Mozart was born, Hellbrunn Palace with the splendid landscaped gardens and Mirabell palace are a must for many guests. Not least the impressive landscape, the climate and the excellent gastronomy all play a major role in the city’s high quality of living.

Our local team is always happy to advise you on building your own trip and excursion itinerary.
